All Our Children Meow and Woof

I created this blog to sort through my emotions as Finnegan, a great Irish Wolfhound, fought bone cancer for nearly 26 months. Fortunately, his battle subsided for many months and during the course of the 26 months, I shared stories about his feline siblings. On August 8, 2008, Finny passed on in my husband's and my arms. He fought the good fight and he will always have a special place in my heart. *If you have a question, please write me at finnegandog at gmail dot com.*

My Pictures Bring All the Girls to the Yard

Our attempt at a Glamor shot. Not so glamorous, eh?
I am that big.
Mama is possessed by my beauty.

I'm just possessed.

Mama does not want to get intimate.

These pictures were done by Emma Steinfeld's significant other. He did a fantastic job but we wanted to show some of the goofier pictures today. Mama promises more because she knows how restless you dog bloggers can get!!

Awwww...you are BOTH gorgeous!

I'd get intimate with your mama too...and I am not polite about it. She's getting licked whether she likes it or not.

Kisses,

nanook

Hey Finny, I love all your photos, but especially the first and last ones. You're just too cute for words. I was thinking, as I'm apt to do from time to time, that maybe you should have a banana like your mom's. Then you could be all matchy matchy polka dotty.

Finney, you AND your mamma look very handsome/pretty in your glamour shots. But what happened to the soft lighting, long distance stares, and pastel backgrounds that you were thinking about doing? And you forgot to get the one where you two are leaning up against your Camero in the woods :-)

The Fleas

Oh, and you've been officially hit by the 2007 Blog Snowball. Check us out if you want to play!

Hi Finnegan! You look alot like some Irish Wolfhounds I met at the park. Way back when I first met them, I was TERRIFIED of them. They were soooooo big. And I'm terrified of big dogs. Every time I'd see them, even from afar, I'd crouch, pull back my ears, straighten my curly tail, and bark like mad until mama took me out of their sight! It took me two solid months of seeing them every day before I let them even close to me! Now I do okay with them, though. They are so nice and friendly! I bet you are too!

Wow..Finny...ur huge!! Sometime I wish I were a big dog, but even thought I'm still a pup, I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm 8 1/2 mo old now and around 10 lbs...but I do boss my bro, Scruffy around! Counter surfing would be so much easier than dragging chairs around!

The fourth and fifth shots would be hilarious on a Christmas card -- before and after shots! Very cute.

PS: tell Mama she doesn't look bad, even if she thinks she does.

Hi finny this is biggie. I like your big tonguey toothy smiles! My mommy makes the same face when I give her kisses, especially when I kiss her glasses. She says I have a grownup dog's tongue (and ears and paws and tail) but I don't know what that means because every grownup dog I see has a tongue, so whose tongue did I get?

love, biggie

Finn!

Tell your mama to just get over it! You love her, you're her heartdog, you're going to get intimate. She has no reason to be such a wuss.

Love the photos. You both look fabulous! (Your mama sure knows how to accessorize, buddy).

Can't wait to see more photos.

Goober love & smooches for your mama,
Stanley
